DAYTON, Ohio (IPMD) – The new year is upon us and with that comes a clean slate and an opportunity to make some changes in your life. This could be your year to set a new resolution or intention to get healthy and feel better. Our doctors at IPMD have put together the following tips to help you stick with it:
- Before you set your resolution for the year, make sure it’s feasible and realistic. Picture the goal you want to achieve and the first steps to get there. Start small. Unattainable goals will only frustrate you.
- Be specific. The more details you can craft into your resolution, the more likely you will stick with it. Don’t just say, “I want to lose weight.” Make it measurable instead. “I want to lose 5 pounds in the next month.”
- Ask for help. Surrounding yourself with motivation will help you stay on track.
- Find your willpower. It’s there, and you will need it to stay the course. Remember, this a commitment to yourself. You need to be open to the change.
We know sticking with it is not the easiest thing to do, but we are here to help! If your resolution is to get healthy or live pain free, consider a chiropractic visit.
Our care goes beyond pain relief. We specialize in allowing the body to function better and stay pain free by using chiropractic adjustments. Our focus is on helping people make healthy choices through proper exercise and nutrition as well as stress management. Not only do we help people with neck pain, back pain and headaches, chiropractic care is also shown to improve things like stress, energy, sleep, allergies, and the list goes on.
If your New Year’s resolution is to lose weight, we can also help. IPMD has a FDA approved weight loss program. It combines physical activity with a diet plan and FDA approved appetite suppressants.
Cheers to a healthier and better you for 2018!
